Don had a genuine smile ready for each one of us every time we saw him. In return, he brought happiness and a smile to us. We will cherish the time we spent with him and the kindness he always showed our family. He will be greatly missed. Wishing love and peace to Virginia and his whole family. With sympathy and love, Connell, Melissa, Braeden, Evelyn, Ella and Emily Dawdy and Bill Dennis

Don and I worked together at APL...not close but we knew each other and the relationship was good. But a couple of years ago he and I took a round trip drive to Redding, CA (about 400 miles) and talked quite a bit. I found out why I liked him...a solid citizen..honest and candid. Then we had some more exposure at an APL "retired" group (601). Talked to him not that long before he left us. Truly a good guy. May he rest in Peace. Condolences to the family. Especially to Virginia.

Don was a gentleman of the first order, just like his dad, and had his mom's sense of humor. Last October, Don, Mimi and I went to Marysville, to find the family home, and look for family graves. It was a wonderful day spent with two great folks, my cousins Don and Mimi! Don will be greatly missed.
