Born in Chicago, Illinois to Eugene Lovato and the late Gladys Conklin Lovato, Judy was the beloved wife of 55 years to the late William “Bill” George, sister of Barbara Griffin (Bill) and the late Robert Donald Lovato, Godmother and Aunt of John Gottardi (Joan), Aunt of Renee Dale (Jeff), Alida Sinclair (Tom) and Kelly Grisso. She is also survived by many great nieces and great nephews and her dog Matilda.

Judy is a former resident of Alameda. She retired in January 2005 from the County of Alameda, where she was employed for many years as a Clerk-Recorder Specialist.  She was a member of the Acorn A’s Model A Ford Club and an ordained clergy with the Universal Life Church since 2003.  She loved sewing, knitting and needle work, reading, listening to music and taking road trips.

Family and friends are welcome to attend and celebrate Judy’s life. Visitation will be held on Sunday, February 26, 2017 from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. with the Vigil Service at 5 p.m. and refreshments to follow at Greer Family Mortuary and Cremation Services, 2694 Blanding Ave., Alameda.  The Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday, February 28, 2017 at 10 a.m. at St. Philip Neri Catholic Church, 3108 Van Buren St., Alameda. Committal to follow at Colusa Cemetery.
