Lawrence Venturini

Lawrence (Larry) A. Venturini 68, died peacefully at his home on April 19, 2024 after a battle with pancreatic cancer. He was surrounded by his wife Kris, son Mark, daughter Annie, sister Diane, and sister-in-law Daral. He was preceded in death by his parents Aldo and Rosalie Venturini. Larry graduated from Lane Technical High School in 1973 and Northeastern Illinois University in 1976 with a BS in Computer Science, both in Chicago, Illinois. Larry filled his life to the fullest and was happiest when being with his family and dogs or working in his yard. After his retirement from Bank of America and a 40+ year data processing career in banking in Chicago, Honolulu and the San Francisco Bay Area, he turned to his natural love of plants and flowers and created a successful landscaping business and gained an AS degree in Landscape Horticulture from Merritt College. He was a firm believer in volunteering and was a soccer and Little League coach to both of his children, Cub Scout leader, animal supporter, and volunteer for various organizations that feed, clothe or house the homeless. He loved sports and went to many Chicago Cubs, Oakland A’s and Oakland Raiders games with his friends and family.

He enjoyed a Celebration of Life party in his honor the week before he died. Larry has chosen to be cremated with no additional services.
