Lois Howard

Lois passed away on February 14, 2024 at the age of 95.  A native of New Orleans, LA.  Lois came to California at the age of 17, and married her soulmate, Junius Daniel Howard (better known as Dan to friends and family).   Dan and Lois married in 1947 and enjoyed a wonderful marriage for 60 years.

Lois was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother, as well as an exceptional homemaker, seamstress, and cook; and enjoyed line dancing, ceramics, and stained glass hobbies.

Lois was preceded in death by her husband, Junius Daniel Howard; parents, Walter and Annie Ferrouillet; brothers Wilber and Lloyd Ferrouillet, and sister, Shirley Colon.   She was also preceded in death by many sister-in-laws and a brother-in-laws.

She is survived by two daughters, Dianne Furman and Deborah Roth, and Son-In-Law, Albert Roth Jr.  Additionally, she has 3 grandchildren, Christine Atchison (Ron), Sara Roth, and Aaron Roth (Melissa).  Her great-grandchildren are Quintin and Lola Atchison; Aadon, Teagan, Josephine, and Addison Roth; and many nieces and nephews.  She is survived by her youngest brother, Kenneth Ferrouillet and Sister-In-Law, Gail Ferrouillet.

Family and friends are invited to attend her memorial mass on Saturday, March 23, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Joseph’s Basilica, 1109 Chestnut Street, Alameda, CA, with Memorial Luncheon to follow.
