This background music is killing me :( The more appropriate music would be Industrial Music like they played at the I-Beam in San Fran in Feb - Mar 1986 where we went from Coast Guard Island during my Tufts Dental externship , Alameda, CA or any kind of Techno from the 90s. You helped me buy my first CD: Techno UK and assured me it was good and I still love it. We got it down in CT after we went to the Music Club In the Round at the casino- Mohegan Sun, which was awesome. Great times and great memories!
I wanted to get together and reconnect after I retired ( no time soon! ) and get to gether and continue our "high on life" ways. That very unfortunately is not to be = you left us WAY too soon.
I hope your son Ben is well. He can call on me anytime. I hope he and everyone is well. I remember your wife from HI, so nice. Hope and pray everyone is OK especially in these Covid times!

Big Buddy! I remember you and all the fun we had when I was a dental extern on
Coast Guard Island in Alameda, CA. All the travel and night spots and good clean fun - high on life! Hawaii was another great spot to visit and continue again. It was great to see you over the years when you came to Boston. You were the best : that stature, that wit, that deep down caring, a true gentleman; the mold is broken.

Montague was an esteemed friend and co-worker. He was a true professional as an electronics technician with the U.S. Coast Guard. I spoke with him at least once a week and he was an active and enthusiastic participant in team meetings. He never spoke an unkind word about anyone and had a very positive attitude toward his duties and team goals. We traveled to several locations on joint inspection and training assignments including Boston, Seattle, Hawaii, Chesapeake, and San Diego and I have many fond remembrances of the time we spent together. He expressed a desire to retire when I did at the end of 2016 but was unable to do so at the time. He was a loving and caring father to his son Benjamin. He will be sorely missed by his family in Connecticut, the Coast Guard, team members and friends he made wherever he went.
Rest in heaven dear brother.

Were you the one who made the offer he couldn't refuse after he retired from the USCG? GS 1O? if so, he mentioned that you retired before him and offered him the job with his expertise in the field
my old man from MICOM was surprised at how much he would make , especially after he retired after the 1st gulf war at an early gs13 in 91. He was a GS 12 for his whole career until the tail end when the guys working for very short money finally retired.
If you were that guy, he really appreciated you
