Battistina M. Bongiovanni

A native of Alameda, Betsy passed away peacefully early Saturday morning, August 11, 2018.

Loving and steadfast wife to the late Peter Bongiovanni. Beloved sister of the late Antonio and Peter Ratto. Amazing mother to Greg, Mary and her husband Leo, Paul and his wife Zaby, Mike, Steve and his wife Cecilia, and the late John. Loving grandmother to Sarah, Ashley, Anne, Dominic, Joshua, Vince, Matthew, Alex, Mario and Antonio. She was a lifelong caregiver and stellar role model to many.

Family and friends may visit after 5:00 p.m on Thursday, August 16, 2018 and attend the Vigil Service at 7:00 p.m. at Greer Family Mortuary and Cremation Services, 2694 Blanding Ave., Alameda. The Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, August 17, 2018 at St. Philip Neri Catholic Church, 3108 Van Buren St., Alameda. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Special Olympics Northern California or to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
