Blanche Luciell Correa

Blanche Luciell Correa, 95, passed away on November 14, 2020 in Abingdon, VA. 

She was born and raised in Ripon CA, and raised her family in Oakland, CA on Skyline Blvd. At age 89, she moved with her son Tim to Bristol, TN.

She is preceded in death by her dearly beloved husband of 64 years, Everett C. Correa. The elder of two sons, David E. Correa; two brothers, Harold Fugett and Lloyd Fugett; and three sisters, Hazel Gotshall, Bernice Duarte and Evelyn Wyatt.

She is survived by one son, Timothy J. Correa and wife Wanda of Bristol, TN; one daughter-in-law, Mrs. David Correa (Nana) of Oakland, CA; her four very special nieces, Carmel Underwood, Anna Shumate, Rochelle Hedgepath, Marilyn Vartabedian and other nieces; one special nephew, Bruce Wyatt and other nephews.

Blanche was a devoted wife, mother and aunt. She was an avid gardener, golfer, and world traveler. She belonged to the Alameda Ladies Nine Hole Golf Club for a number of years. She was also a member of the Alameda Elks Lodge 1015 and the Metropolitan Horsemen's Association (MHA) of Oakland, CA.

Interment services will be private. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that donations be made out to a charity of your choice.
