Connie came into our lives through her genealogy research of her family Benson from Country Armagh, Northern Ireland. We are scattered worldwide and we are very appreciative of her effort and sharing of her research on our family Benson. May Connie Rest In Peace.

I am devastated to just be learning of Connie's passing. She was a most special friend to me for 40 years. We worked together at CSPP in San Francisco and instantly hit it off. She took me to get my ears pierced at age 30 in a mall in Alameda! She catered my wedding! She made us a quilt as a present and knit booties for my babies. She came to stay in LA when my first son was born and filled my freezer with food. She gave the very very best presents, which still fill my house. I just tried to call her in advance of her October birthday and my annual Bay Area trip. I cannot say how much I will miss her.

Connie and I remained friends after Simmons and we were travel buddies to Prince Edward Island, the Camden Maine Windjammers, London, Edinburgh, and cross-country spending time in New Orleans, Route 66, Rockies, San Clemente, and San Francisco. We tried to camp and had some hilarious adventures climbing down the Grand Canyon and returning the same day in the rain sliding in the muck. Connie was a superb seamstress and made clothes for my first two girls that served many little ones and Christmas decorations that we still use every holiday. We lost contact and had just briefly reconnected a year ago last fall. She was a person overflowing with talents, energy, fun, and friendship.
