Dolores “Lolita” Flores was a caring loving mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. Her sunset on May 24, 2022 after fighting lung cancer for two years, at age 61.
She was born in Tomatlan,Jalisco with four brothers and four sisters. She migrated to the United States when she was 19 years old, getting her first McDonald meal of a big mac and some “potatoes”. She resided in Alameda and there she had her two daughters, Michelle and Isabella. Later down the road her oldest daughter made her a grandmother to Madison-Rose and Mya.
Dolores went to school to become a secretary, and got her diploma in Mexico. When she moved to America she worked numerous jobs from being a server at Mexican restaurants, a babysitter, a caretaker, to lastly being a medical assistant and x-ray technician for over 30 years at Bay Area Footcare. Her drive to work hard made her a strong stubborn independent woman that everyone loved and admired.
Dolores was a free spirit, full of life and fun. She loved going to the gym, hanging out with her friends and going to Half Moon Bay. With her family she loved dragging them to Costco, yelling at them for not doing something her way (a.k.a. the right way), going to the mall, and asking numerous questions during movies.
Lolita was a woman who showed tough love, and instilled that hard work mentality to everything she approached in life. She looked out for her family the best way she knew how. This was a woman who held down her own, and did a damn good job at it!
She will be laid to rest in Tomatlan, Jalisco, Mexico for her final sunset.
