Dolores M. Parodi

Dolores Parodi, 88, of Alameda, CA, passed away peacefully in her home on April 12th, 2023.

Dolores was born on January 28th, 1935, in Oakland, to Elizabeth Zboyovsky and John Perata. She was raised in Alameda along with her four siblings, Richard, Geraldine, John, and Robert. Dolores became a mother at the young age of 16 and dedicated the next several years of her life to raising her three boys, Steven, Rocco, and Jack Jr. She was a loving mother and everyone that knew her, knew that her boys were the light of her life. Dolores was also a dedicated wife of 73 years to her husband Jack Sr. She and Jack lived with their children in Alameda and ran a successful trucking business, JS&R Trucking.

Dolores enjoyed preparing homemade meals for her family, specifically Italian dishes. She loved flowers and took pride in her garden, making sure that everything was well taken care of. She was quite a fashionista- her hair was always combed to perfection, makeup always bright and bold, jewelry always sparkling, and glasses always oversized. She was a beautiful woman with a smile that would light up the room. We can’t forget her sense of humor! Dolores was a jokester and knew how to make everyone laugh.

Dolores adored her grandchildren, Scott, Gina, Steffen, Lacey, Dante, and Angelica, and jumped at every opportunity to spend time with them, cook for them, and sneak them money. She was also smitten with her great grandchildren, Michael, Tyler, Amiyah, Jameson, and Blakely.

Dolores will be greatly missed by her family and friends!

Family and friends are invited to attend the services in honor of Dolores on Wednesday, April 26th at Greer Family Mortuary and Cremation Services. Visitation will be held from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. with the Vigil Service at 5:00 p.m.
