Dominador Visperas was called home by his creator on May 23, 2020. Born in Mapandan, Pangasinan, Philippines in 1935, he was the second child and the oldest son of Julian Visperas and Eustaquia Ventigan.
Ador attended the University of Baguio where he worked and studied for 2 years. He elected to stayed in Baguio and in 1960, he met the love of his life there. On April 7, 1962, he married Eufemia Aguilana at St Vincent Parish in Baguio, Philippines. Together, they raised 3 terrific sons.
Early their marriage, Ador joined the National Food Authority. As a liaison between local farmers and the government, his fair and honest assessments were respected by both groups. In 1985, he created D&E Commercial. He successfully owned and operated the retail agricultural supplies business for 20 years.
in 2005, Ador permanently moved to alameda and became a US citizen. He and Femy joined St. Barnabas Parish and served in multiple ministries. As an usher, Ador greeted parishioners and visitors, assisted at Hospitality Sundays, and participated in both the spiritual and social life of the Parish. A 3rd Degree Knight of Columbus, Ador served as Grand Knight of Council #9098 in 2015 -2106.
Ador was a sweet soul – kind and gentle. He was very proud of his sons, as they were of him. but he was proudest of his wife of 58 years. He also found being a grandfather had some incredible benefits.
Ador was preceded in death by his parents, his sister Leonora, and brother, Gilberto both teachers.
Besides his wife, Femy, Ador is survived by his sons, Chris (Marie Mejia) of Oceanside, CA., Dominador, Jr. “Sonny” (Maria Theresa) of, Qatar, and Anthony of the Philippines. All eleven grandchildren - Czarina, Maria Cristina, Raymond Radeya, Leon, Isaac, Andre, Rani, Toni-Ann, Zippora, and Dominic Visperas, kept in constant touch with him even though they live in 7 different countries.
Cremation services will be private. A memorial Mass at St. Barnabas will be scheduled later. Final internment will be in the Philippines.
