Dorothy Sanderson

Dorothy was born to Jesse and Elizabeth Holloman in Chester, Illinois on December 14, 1923 and passed away peacefully in Alameda on July 29, 2018.

Dorothy was a dedicated employee at Alameda Air Station, working there for 40 years. She was also a member of the Order of the Eastern Star and Daughters of the American Revolution.

She is survived by her brother, Col. Dale Holloman of Belleville, IL. She is also survived by her nieces and nephews, Bruce, Deborah, Sheila, Sandy, and Terry.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Jesse and Elizabeth Holloman and her brother Lieutenant Commander George Holloman.

Dorothy spent her life doing the things she loved, including playing the piano and violin, flying airplanes, loving on her dogs, and visiting with her many friends.

A memorial service will be held on Thursday, August 2, 2018 at 1:00pm at her home in Alameda.
