Mr. Murray was born in Omaha, NE on June 24th, 1935 and passed away in Alameda on April 26th, 2017.  He is survived by his loving wife Donna L. Murray and children Shannon Murray and Lhakpa Sherpa.  He was preceded in death by his daughter Catherine Murray, sister Joan Rowe, and parents Francis and Maxine Murray.

Mr. Murray worked 45 years with DelMonte Corp at Plant 48 in Alameda on Buena Vista Avenue.  He was a lifetime Cornhuskers football and Notre Dame fan, boxing enthusiast, golf marshal at Chuck Corica golf course, and a former girl’s sports coach at SPN.  He loved crossword puzzles and cheering on his daughters. 

Visitation hours are Tuesday, May 2nd from 5:00 pm to 9:00pm at Greer Family Mortuary including a 7:00 pm Vigil/Rosary service.  A funeral mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, May 3rd at St. Philip Neri Catholic Church at 10:30 am.  Interment at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery and a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society or charity of your choice.
