Evelyn was preceded in death by Larry Chavez, and is survived by Joel Reichert.  Evelyn and Joel enjoyed 26 wonderful years together, traveling the world.  They built an amazing life together, and made many lifelong friends. 

Together Evelyn and Larry had seven children; Denise (Tyrone) Jimenez, Gabriella (Mike) Dalisay, Eddie Chavez, Richard (Rhonda) Chavez, Mark Chavez, David (Lisa) Chavez, and Teresa (Dion) Crone. Joel’s family includes Dennis (Lisa) Reichert and their children Annalise and Keith, and Doug (Vivian) Reichert, and their children Gareth, Joel, Ryan and Cne’. Evelyn was grandmother to 13 grandchildren; Antonio (Melissa) Ramirez, Melissa (Robert) Nering, Zachary Jimenez, Michael (Kara) Dalisay, Michelle (Eric) Hampton, Tereasa (Ryan) Garcia, Maria Chavez, Stephanie Chavez, Paul (Samantha) Chavez, Richard Chavez, Destinie (Art) Ramos, Alex (Tiana) Sanchez, and Marciano Chavez, and great-grandmother to 21 great-grandchildren.  

Evelyn had a generous spirit, a kind heart, beautiful smile and a wonderful sense of humor.  She was selfless and always there for others. Even when she became ill she continued to uplift her family and friends. Evelyn’s faith and religion were always important to her, and after being alone for several years after Larry’s passing, she and Joel attended church together.

During her life with Joel, Evelyn loved cruising around the world, playing slot machines, watching Hallmark movies, and spending time with family and friends. She especially enjoyed visiting family in Texas and Washington.  Family was very important to her and the families combined brought her much love and joy. 

She enjoyed being a wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend.  She enjoyed special relationships with her sister Gloria Cordova, cousin Patsy Gallegos, and childhood friend, Lilly Hernandez.

She will be missed by all who loved and cherished her.
