Floyd Lee Walker, age 77, passed away on August 28, 2019. He had struggled over the last few years with various health issues but was taken care of by his wife Fely Walker. Floyd will be missed by his family, friends, and church.
Floyd served in the U.S. Marine Corps for 28 years. After retiring from the military, he was employed at San Quentin State Prison as a peace officer. He was a man of discipline, diligence, integrity and kindness. He was an amazing orator with a great sense of humor and a charming personality to match. He loved gardening and tending to his many flora.
He is survived by his wife Fely Walker, his daughter Julia and her husband Mike Routh, his granddaughter Emma Boyd, his stepson Bill Black and wife Deedee Black, and Shirley Defehr, beloved cousin, as well as several other relatives.
Family and friends are invited to the visitation for Mr. Walker on Friday, September 6, 2019 from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. with the funeral service beginning at 5:30 p.m.
