A few words to wish Irene's sons much courage as they give their mom. I worked at MF/CMP for 10 years from 1998 until 2008 and often spoke with Irene on and off campus. She was very proud of her sons.
I remember her as very competent, smart, candid and good natured.
May you rest in Peace.

I knew Irene at the senior center stained glass class. She was a great conversationalist. We talked about her family, her volunteer work in neighborhood gardens, our histories, recipes. You name it; we talked about it. But unlike me, Irene completed her beautiful projects. I already miss you.

My heartfelt condolences to Irene's family—particularly her sons—and friends. I was lucky enough to spend more time with her over the past year and a half since I moved to Alameda; I will miss her. RIP, my friend.

Sun flower designs were her specialty. Irene you will be missed at the Mastic Center glass class. Your subtle smile warmed the entire class. We both had two boys and shared many a positive story about what joy they brought to our lives. My condolences to them. I know they will miss you, but you will live fondly in their memory as you will with all of your class mates.
