Jacqueline D. Young

Jacqueline D Young, 81, passed peacefully at her home in San Leandro California on Monday morning at 5am August 27, 2018. She is survived by her son Daryn J Young.

She was born in Oakland to Emma and Robert Chin, the youngest child of two children. She always has fond memories of going to beaches with her parents, brother and cousins taking many pictures. She then lost her mom at young age and raised by her father Robert Chin, She graduated high school and attended to vocational school then hold a jobs at court house as a secretary. she then moved to San Diego following her heart has designed to her career and then years later moving back to her home town OAKLAND and hold a job as a super attendant at Oakland public school. 

She was married to James Young and has a child. Their marriage was struggling and they both gone separates ways. Jacqueline Young held herself up so strongly and despite hardship she did it all on her own to raise her son. Together, they would go to places far away to try out new food, and gone to many many festivals. Attending so many events with friends and family. 

She was passionately on writing and she loved typing, she collected a lot of stationary especially Panda which is her favorite animal. She also know as panda grandma to her grand children and great nieces and nephews.

She will be remembered as the most loving and caring person to her family as well as to the community. Throughout her life time she has given so much contributions to almost all the organizations from children cancer society, heart disease, animals shelters, lungs cancer, beasts cancers association, Alzheimer’s organization etc... her greatest joys was her two grandchildren. Jacqueline Young is now Rest In Peace and reunited to her parents and grandparents as her wished. 

A service to celebrate Jacqueline’s life was held at 2pm on Monday September 17 at The Greer Family Mortuary and cremations services 2694 Blanding Ave, Alameda, CA 94501.  Flower donation is acceptable at the Greer Mortuary Family and Cremations.
