Joyce Marie Steele, a native Californian, was born on April 6, 1945 to the late Dwight Hermann Orr and his wife Lela Marie Rogers Orr.  Joyce passed away on August 25, 2017 after a short illness.

An only child with relatives living in distant locales, Joyce’s family became her church.  She was a faithful member of the Hayward Church of Christ for many years.  She worked in the insurance business and loved to attend the theatre.

Joyce was a quiet spirit but one that will be missed.  She was laid to rest at Mountain View Cemetery, Oakland, CA.
