Kenneth C. Marcenaro

Cherished husband for 43 years to Peggy Kay Marcenaro (nee Kelley); beloved brother of Laura Peritore; uncle of Victor and Phillip Peritore; and brother in law of Rick Kelley (Magdalena).  Ken is also survived by numerous cousins on both sides of his parents' families.

Ken (Kenny) was an accomplished musician, loving to play rock and roll or blues on guitar, keyboard, and harmonica. He was an avid golfer, playing 2-3 times a week with close friends or his wife. Ken dabbled in art, painting in oil and watercolor as well as drawing in pencil. Ken and Peggy enjoyed traveling to Italy, Spain, Portugal, Greece, France, Germany, the Caribbean, Tahiti, Bora Bora, and numerous trips to the Hawaiian islands. He was born and raised in San Francisco and was a loyal 49er and Giants fan. A shareholder of Oakland Scavenger Co. continuing on with Waste Management with 41 years as a member of Teamsters Local Union #70.

Family and friends are invited to the services in honor of Ken on Thursday, June 23rd at Greer Family Mortuary and Cremation Services in Alameda at 11:00 a.m. Ken will be laid to rest at St. Mary’s Cemetery. Following the committal, a Celebration of Life Reception at Trabocco Kitchen in Alameda.
