Michael Joseph Connors

Michael Joseph Connors, 78 of Alameda passed away at home on the morning of March 6, 2023 after a short illness.

Michael was born in San Francisco on January 27, 1945 to Vincent Joseph Connors and Dorita Elvera O'Valle. He is survived by his wife of 10 years, Toni Lajoie, daughter Meresa, stepson Marty, grandchildren Morgan, Aspen, Connor and Beau and his sisters Maureen and Elena. He was proceeded in death by his wife of 28 years, Terri Bell Connors and his brother Jimmy Connors.

Born in San Francisco and raised in Oakland Michael moved to Alameda more than 50 years ago.

Michael was a well known local artist who enjoyed working with oil paints, as well as watercolors and charcoal.

Upon Michael's retirement 12 plus years ago he immersed himself in his art and with his new found love of travel his art flourished.

Michael will be remembered  by his family and community as a kind and loving man and his spirit remains with us through his many works of art.

Services will be held Saturday March 25th at 11 AM  at Greer Family Mortuary in Alameda.

Michael will be laid to rest in a private ceremony at Georgetown Pioneer Cemetery later this year.
