Michael (aka Rocky) D. DeHaven passed away on January 26, 2018 at the Summit Medical Center, Oakland, CA after several years of struggling with serious health issues. His wife, Barbara, was at his side. He was 63 years old. Rocky was a friend to many and always there to lend a helping hand. His varied career included club-restaurant design and management, glass construction project manager, and company vice president. He was a skilled craftsman and well known for his knife sharpening abilities and pocket knife collection. His last major project was a glass blowing class in Harmony, CA where the instructor remarked as to his natural talents in this area. He is survived by his wife, Barbara Cassens of Alameda, CA and his father, Gary DeHaven of College Station, TX. A celebration of his life, to be announced at a later date, will be held in both Alameda and College Station.
