Born to the late Frank and Ina Ratto on November 2, 1957 in Alameda, CA, Mike passed away on March 19, 2018. Mike is survived by his wife, Lisa Beitsch-Ratto; sister, Karen Ratto; cousins, Nick Florini, Joe Florini and Mary Florini-Zeager; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Mike graduated from Alameda High School in 1975 and from Cal State Hayward with his bachelor’s in Accounting in 1984. Mike worked in the Bay Area with Safeway for 25 years and most recently with Progressive Transportation Services Inc. He was an active member in the Fratellanza Club, Forties Car Club, Bay Area 40’s Club and Valley Rods. He was a longtime parishioner of St. Barnabas Church in Alameda.
He enjoyed attending car shows, Hot August Nights in Reno being a favorite and especially the Alameda Classic Car Show, where it was thought of to be his yearly “class reunion”.
Family and friends are invited to attend the Memorial Mass on Tuesday, March 27, 2018 at 10:30 AM at St. Barnabas Church, 1427 6th St., Alameda. You are encouraged to drive your classic car in Mike’s honor.
