Ramon M. Leones

Ramon Leones was born on March 23, 1950 in Paco, Manila, Philippines. He was the third of five siblings; Rudy, Carol, Connie, and Cecelia. He studied Elementary and High School at Paco Catholic School and graduated in BS Mechanical Engineering at Adamson University.  His first job was at National Irrigation Administration in the Philippines for 4 years.  

In 1980 at 29 years old, he migrated to the United States with his two sisters, Connie and Carol to join his father. He worked for the Oakland Army Base, then James River Corporation and Alcan Company.  

In January 2009, he married Mona de Asis. He retired from Alameda County Services on October 2018 with 16 years of service. He was diagnosed with Prostate Cancer Stage 4 in May 2018. 

Ramon was very close to his mother Leonor and generous to share his winnings in horse racing. He was survived by his wife Mona, daughter Monica, and stepson Ralph. He was a wonderful cook and enjoyed family get-togethers. He was responsible father, loving husband, and wonderful brother. He will be dearly missed.
