Born the youngest of 12 in Pontiac, Michigan to the late David James Valko and Carol Aileen Pepper-Valko, Patti was the beloved wife of Melvin “Woody” Woodard and devoted mother to Daniel SueSue, Gary Valko, Gena Batres Montoya, Shasta Holder-Lane, and Trisha Lane. She was preceded in death by her siblings: Dave Valko, Robert Valko, Cliff Valko, Richard Valko, and Sharon Valko.
Patti was the best Domestic Engineer this world has ever been graced with, she devoted herself to her family and wholeheartedly served the community of Alameda in many ways. “Pancake Patti”, as she was known to many, was a longtime member of the Eagles Club in Alameda. She participated in Relay for Life for many years and was an active member of Calvary Alameda. Through these various organizations she touched many lives with her humor, compassion, and magnetic personality. All the lives she personally touched remember her parting words, “Glad you got to meet me.”
